Rent a Manor House in Wales. The Plas Cilybebyll estate comprises a Manor house, 8 holiday cottages and an events venue. The entire complex sleeps up to 50 guests.
Enter Plas Cilybebyll Manor and see the wide mahogany staircase leading to the stained glass window and french chandelier. On the ground floor there’s the drawing room with its ornate carved fireplace, where you can while away the winter evenings in front of a real fire. There’s a further reception room and a wine cellar with exposed cool stone walls. The large kitchen has a traditional 4 oven Aga and island, and couples high end features such as a marble tiled floor with antique chandeliers alongside modern underfloor heating, an American-style fridge freezer and a 55 inch smart TV. It wouldn’t be a Manor house without the added extras – luxuriate in the amazing 10 metre indoor heated pool with its panoramic views of the green surrounds or while away the evening with a good book from the oak panelled library with secret door hidden in the bookshelves.
The first floor offers three luxurious large ensuite bedrooms. There are two more bedrooms which share a big family bathroom with separate shower and bath. There’s another large ensuite bedroom on the second floor, and the yellow bathroom with its freestanding bathtub and separate shower serves the three further bedrooms. Outside is the Plas Venue and bar overlooking the tennis court. The house is surrounded by over two acres of formal gardens and lawns including two ponds and a copper domed folly building. Plas Cilybebyll is perfect if you are looking to rent a manor house in Wales.
Clean, comfortable and cosy, our self catering holiday cottages may look traditional but they are heated by green energy and renovated and furnished to an excellent standard to include every home comfort. Each cottage has a well equipped kitchen with laundry facilities, doorstep parking, free wifi and good mobile signal. There’s a major 24 hour supermarket just over a mile away in the local town of Pontardawe. The properties enjoy a fairy-tale setting alongside a gentle stream where birdsong is your soundtrack and wildlife flourishes. Sheep graze on nearby fields and cows low in the pasture. Parkland surrounds the lawn area outside the cottages, which sit in a sheltered hollow beneath the picturesque blue pennant sandstone hills. Many of the cottages have log burners, allowing guests to relax in front of a fire after a busy day exploring the area or visiting tourist attractions. Guests are welcome to explore over a hundred acres of private countryside with panoramic views of the Swansea valley and as far afield as Devon. As for the farm, there’s a self-guided walking trail which starts on your cottage doorstep. We are proud of our Visit Wales star rating and enjoy welcoming guests to the farm – many of whom come back year after year.
