The Plas Cilybebyll Estate provides group accommodation in Wales. It consists of Plas Cilybebyll Manor House and a collection of eight holiday cottages situated on the home farm. These are known collectively as Swansea Valley Holiday Cottages. All properties are bookable here or on our sister website www.walescottages.com. We have multiple properties so this allows us to provide group accommodation for up to 50 guests in South Wales.

Plas Cilybebyll Manor and the cottages are a wonderful venue so families or groups of friends can get together. Our capacity is up to 50 guests so the complex features accommodation options to suit a variety of requirements. Some families in our group want to be next to each other. Is that possible? Yes of course. Members of the group will find their accommodation in the cottages and Manor are within a couple of minutes walk. We do feel the site naturally divides into three areas:

Group Accommodation Questions

Accessibility

Is the accommodation accessible? We have two all-ground-level holiday cottages so they are ideal for those with limited mobility including wheelchair users. Nant Y Plas and Bwthyn Y Saer both have single bedrooms and feature wet rooms with comfort height facilities, support rails and wheel/walk in rainforest showers.

Is the accommodation pet friendly? We have five pet friendly cottages in the complex so your pets can stay. The pet friendly cottages are Y Stabl, Ty Cerbyd, Nant Y Plas, Bwthyn Y Saer and Yr Hen Ysgol but we do not accept pets in Plas Cilybebyll Manor.

Amenity

Is there a swimming pool? Plas Cilybebyll Manor features a stunning 10m x 4m indoor heated pool so guest staying in the manor can use the pool exclusively.

Is there a hot tub? Y Stabl holiday cottage features a riverside hot tub so residents of that cottage have exclusive access. However, Y Stabl actually forms one half of a long Georgian coach house along with Ty Cerbyd holiday cottage. It is possible to open an internal door that separates the two cottages so this creates a single 4 bedroomed cottage that sleeps 8. Both properties would then have access to the hot tub.

Is there a communal dining area? Yes. Plas Cilybebyll Manor has a large dining room so that you can seat up to 19 guests. We also have an events venue building alongside the Manor house which can seat at least 50 guests.

Is there bike storage? Yes we have secure storage for bikes so guests can store their bikes.

Is there WiFi and a TV? There is an good WiFi network in all of the holiday homes and around the grounds so that guest have WiFi access. Freesat and a smart TV are provided in each cottage.

Where is the nearest shop? There are large supermarkets in Pontardawe, just under two miles away (Tesco and Lidl). Our neighbours, ‘Pontardawe Farm Produce,’ is just a 5 minute walk from the end of the driveway so guests can easily buy fresh milk and farm produce there.

Things to do

Is there a farm walk? Yes, the Plas Cilybebyll estate has its own signposted farm walk with accompanying leaflet so that you can fully enjoy the walk. If you follow the signposts from the farmyard you can then go through some of the 120 acres of private grounds including garden areas, woodlands, farmland, parkland and hillside areas. You’ll enjoy panoramic views down into the valley if the day is clear then you can see the sea and across the Swansea Bay region. ‘The Plas Farm Trail,’ guidebook is to be found in your holiday cottage accommodation should you wish to find further information and background about the farm and local area. If you run out of time to finish it then you can contact us to purchase your own copy!

Is there plenty to do in the area? The Plas Cilybebyll estate is situated at the very heart of South Wales’ so the best attractions include the Gower beaches, Brecon Beacons mountains and waterfall country are easily accessible. We have a very famous information folder packed full of ideas and itineraries so you can fully enjoy your stay. Upon booking, you will be given access to this so that you can start planning your holiday activities. For guests staying at our group accommodation, Wales has much to offer.

What is there to do on site? Residents of the Manor have access to the indoor heated pool, games room and all weather tennis court so there is plenty to do. We have over a hundred acres of private grounds including a farm walk so there is space for everyone.
