Plas Cilybebyll is a very special place to celebrate the life of a loved one. Set in picturesque grounds in the Swansea Valley, this historic house provides a peaceful and private setting to hold a funeral wake where friends and family can meet, share stories, remember and celebrate a departed loved one.
There are a selection of rooms within the main house where you may host a small reception. For larger gatherings, we use the event venue which can accommodate up to 60 guests, or more if you hire a marquee to extend the space. It features a bar, log fire, comfortable seating and wonderful views across the Welsh countryside, with sheep and cows grazing amongst the parkland trees.
Our wake venue is located half a mile from Cilybebyll Church and 20 minutes from Margam crematorium. There is plenty of parking on site.
There is also accommodation on site for up to fifty guests should you have guests who have travelled far and need somewhere to stay. The Manor house itself has nine bedrooms and can sleep 19 people. There are also eight holiday cottages in the grounds which sleep between one and six guests per cottage.
