Plas Cilybebyll provides a fairy tale setting for private parties. Famed as the “French chateau in Wales”, the Manor enjoys a spectacular and secluded natural setting where guests can enjoy an atmosphere of tranquillity and privacy. The extensive grounds and beautiful Victorian façade of the Manor house provide a stunning backdrop for your event and photo opportunities abound.
Our function room for events is located alongside the Manor in an orangery that overlooks estate parkland and an historic tennis court that was originally built during the 1926 General Strike by local coal miners as a grass tennis court, which has since become modernised to an all-weather surface. There are also sizeable gardens with BBQ facilities and a large fire pit which is perfect for outdoor entertaining. You are free to hire a catering company to cater to your event.

Party Venue with Accommodation
In addition to the nine-bedroomed Manor house, there are eight individual holiday cottages to choose from meaning that up to 50 guests can be accommodated on site for your event. Each cottage is different in character. There are two single storey accessible cottages that are ideal for guests with reduced mobility. There are pet friendly cottages if any of your guests have four legs and there is also a cottage for romantics that has a riverside hot tub.
Plas Cilybebyll Manor sits at the centre of 120 acres of private countryside, just 10 miles north of the city of Swansea. The town of Pontardawe is just over a mile away and the historic market town of Neath is 4 miles to the south.
